If you want to watch cable television on your computer without an annual contract, Philo may be the service for you. The streaming service combines over 60 cable channels with an internet interface. For $20 a month, you get more than 40 channels, primarily entertainment fare. You can also purchase add-ons, such as Cooking Channel, Nicktoons, and Discovery Family, for an additional fee. If you don’t want to commit to a year-long subscription, you can cancel your service after six to eight months.

There is also a DVR feature available on Philo, allowing you to record as many shows and movies as you want. The app allows you to save up to 1,000 films or shows to your DVR list. To record a show, you simply need to save it. Then, Philo automatically saves it for 30 days. After that, it deletes it. This feature is useful for binge watching, and it’s easy to use.

Channels on Philo include Discovery, Investigation Discovery, Food Network, and Animal Planet. If you want to watch a movie or show on the go, you can opt for Philo’s originals or shows produced by other networks. You can also watch popular TV shows, such as Nick Jr. and Comedy Central, on-demand or live. It’s also worth noting that most Philo shows are available for viewing on demand, so you can watch them whenever you want.

The Philo interface is easy to use. Its home screen features a list of popular channels and new premieres. The app also features a search and profile section. You can also watch live television or movies using other streaming devices. You can log in to your Philo account from multiple devices. Philo also supports TV Everywhere authentication, so you don’t have to sign in to each channel individually. With TV Everywhere integration, you can watch Philo shows right from the Apple TV app.

Philo supports Roku TV, Roku Ultra, Roku TV, Roku Premiere+, Roku 3, Roku 2, and more. Roku LT, Roku Ultra, and Roku Express are also supported. You can even connect a Chromecast smart TV to your Philo account. Moreover, it works with Amazon Fire TV Stick and Roku Express+. And, of course, you can also connect your iPhone or Android phone to your Philo account.

Philo offers a seven-day free trial. The basic package costs $25 a month, but it does not include premium channels like Epix and Starz. If you like movies, you can also add on Movies & More for only $3. Depending on your needs, you can get your hands on other channels as well. This is also a good way to try out Philo. And you can always cancel at any time. That’s one of the most important aspects of Philo.

To subscribe to Philo, all you need is an email address and a cell phone number. Once you’re registered, you’ll receive a unique code via email or text message. To use this code, simply enter it and click the right arrow on your screen. After that, you’re all set. You can also watch TV shows with Philo’s free seven-day trial. As you can see, Philo isn’t the best option for sports or news addicts, but for people looking for more local coverage, this service might be a better option.
