Design Your Own T-Shirt In 5 Easy Steps

Designing your own T-Shirt is a lot easier than you might think! In this article, we will cover the basics of designing your own t-shirt. We will also show you how to design and print your custom t-shirts in 5 easy steps.
Step 1: Nail Down Your Message
What is the message you want to convey?
Do you have a catchy phrase or slogan for your t-shirt design? If not, brainstorm some ideas. In this article, we will use “I’m here because of my mom.”
Once you’ve settled on a slogan, think about how it might relate to other aspects of your design.
For instance, if you’re designing a t-shirt with “I’m here because of my mom” written on the front, think about what image might be appropriate for the back or sleeve? Maybe something related to family and motherhood.
Step 2: Choose a Printing Style
There are two main types of printing: plastisol and water-based.
Plastisol has a higher level of detail but is more expensive than water-based because it takes longer to dry. On the other hand, the water-based dye doesn’t have as high a resolution but dries faster since ink penetrates better.

Choose a printing style and use that as the foundation of your design.
If you’re still not sure which type of print to go with, talk it over with the designers! They’ll be more than happy to help out and guide you in getting your custom T-shirts created. The power press heat press machine is an excellent choice for plastisol printing.
It’s important to take into consideration the type of t-shirts you’re using – heat press transfers are best suited for cotton fabrics, while sublimation (dye) is great for synthetic materials like polyester and nylon.
Step 3: Choose an Image, Photo, or Graphic
This will be the focus of your design. Remember to pick something appropriate for what you want to say and also reflect well on the message
Photos and graphics are great as they allow for more creativity with the design than just words alone. Photos can be taken from your phone or scanned in to make them look professional – remember that you want something that perfectly reflects what you’re trying to say!

Step 4: Choose a Font
There are so many different fonts to choose from! The best way to find one is by searching for a font you like online.
You can also experiment with a font that is free and open-source, like Google Fonts.
I happen to be partial to the fonts used in this article: Brush Script MT and Times New Roman.

Step 5: Choose Your Preferred T-Shirt Style and Color
There are many different types of t-shirts out there.
Look for a style that suits you and reflects the message on your shirt.
For example, if you were designing shirts with “I’m here because of my mom,” choose something like heather gray or navy blue – which represent motherhood in their hue alone!
